William Floyd High School senior Maisy Miller has been awarded the East End Counselors Association Scholarship.
Miller is one of four students from high schools on the East End of Long Island to receive this $2,000 scholarship.
The award is given annually to students who are active in their communities or schools, intend to attend a two- or four-year post-secondary institution after graduation, and plan to pursue a degree in fields such as nursing, school counseling, teaching, or social work.
Miller participates in several clubs at William Floyd High School, including the National Honor Society, the Business Honor Society, student government, yearbook club, and the William Floyd Rockettes.
She plans to attend West Chester University but remains undecided about her major. However, she expresses an interest in health studies.
Her educational journey includes attending William Floyd Elementary School and William Floyd Middle School.
