Women continue to take on leadership roles in the Trump Administration. Among them are Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and Cabinet members Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Attorney General Pam Bondi Labor Secretary Lori Michelle Chavez-DeRemer, and Education Secretary Linda McMahon.

And now, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-North Country) has been elevated to Chairwoman of House Republican Leadership after withdrawing from the nomination process to become the US Representative to the United Nations.

Speaker Mike Johnson appointed Stefanik Chairwoman of House Republican Leadership for the 119th Congress. In addition, she was reappointed to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence where she will maintain her seniority. She also resumes her role as a senior Member of the Armed Services Committee, and Education and the Workforce Committee. In addition, Stefanik was appointed by the Speaker to the Boards of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China and the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation.

“I am honored to be appointed Chairwoman of House Republican Leadership to lead House Republicans in implementing President Donald Trump's mandate from the American people for an America First agenda that includes securing our borders, strengthening our national security, growing our economy, and combating the scourge of anti-Semitism across our country,” said Chairwoman Elise Stefanik.

New York State Conservative Party Chairman Gerard Kassar was excited for Stefanik to become the US Ambassador to the UN under President Trump. Like many, he was disappointed when the decision was made to pull her nomination to further protect the Republican majority in the House. He, and others, are happy to see the House recognize her value and put her in this new role.

Kassar said, "Elise Stefanik's rise to Chairwoman of House Republican Leadership is not just a personal achievement-it's a major win for conservatives across New York and the nation. Elise is tough, she's smart, and she's never backed down from a fight. Whether it's standing up to the radical left or championing the America First agenda, Elise has led from the front with backbone and results.

"The Conservative Party is proud to call her an ally, and we look forward to continuing to work with Chairwoman Stefanik as she helps drive a Republican resurgence rooted in principle, strength, and common sense," Kassar added.

Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D. said, (R-PA), “She’s a proven America First fighter and will be instrumental in advancing President Trump’s agenda.”

Rep. James Comer (R-TN) said, “Great to have my friend Rep Stefanik back in Congress as House Republican Leadership Chair. She’s precisely the kind of strong conservative leader we need in Congress right now.”

“The American people gave us a mandate to save our country, and Elise will help us enact President Trump's America First agenda,” said Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA).

Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-VA) said, “Excited to welcome my good friend back to House Republican Leadership! Our House majority is in good hands with her at the helm!

The House Republican Leadership Chair is a senior leadership appointed position focused on strategy, communications, and executing on the mandate from the American people to pass President Trump’s agenda.

Don't Expect Bregman to Pay Off

This week, one of the bigger names in the free agency cycle signed with the Chicago Cubs, and fantasy managers everywhere sighed. Usually, anyone heading to Wrigley Field is viewed as a positive, but for Alex Bregman, more information has emerged suggesting this move could spell trouble for his fantasy outlook. Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.

Futures Bettors Will Be Smiling

The College Football Championship is set, and it pits two of the more unlikely teams against each other. Indiana may have the largest living alumni base in the country, with more than 800,000 graduates, but few expected the Hoosiers to reach this stage. They feature zero five-star recruits and have instead relied on depth, discipline, and consistency while dominating all season long.
