Wet Paints Studio Group Art Exhibit

Long Island’s oldest art organization, the Wet Paints Studio Group, will host an exhibit of its members’ work April 2-29 at the Port Jefferson Village Center. A free Artists’ Reception open to the public will be held on the 5th from 1-3 p.m. 

Based out of Sayville, the Wet Paints group includes artists from all over Suffolk County dedicated to promoting fine art. Featured will be artist Elaine Faith Thompson, who is famed for her paintings of Long Island scenes and presidential portraits, including works depicting Theodore Roosevelt, George Washington, John F. Is There a New Ace in Town?

The New York Mets have a new ace, and fantasy owners have been accustomed to viewing Freddy Peralta as a near-ace for some time. The move to a more pitcher-friendly park should help, but do not overreach, because the reality is that the lineup around him is roughly the same and the bullpen is likely worse at protecting his leads. Peralta has been a standout for years, and slotting him in as a high-value fantasy arm is easy. The question is just how high he should go.
