Wet Paints Studio Group Art Exhibit

Long Island’s oldest art organization, the Wet Paints Studio Group, will host an exhibit of its members’ work April 2-29 at the Port Jefferson Village Center. A free Artists’ Reception open to the public will be held on the 5th from 1-3 p.m. 

Based out of Sayville, the Wet Paints group includes artists from all over Suffolk County dedicated to promoting fine art. Featured will be artist Elaine Faith Thompson, who is famed for her paintings of Long Island scenes and presidential portraits, including works depicting Theodore Roosevelt, George Washington, John F. Record Setting Maggie McCormick Competes at Nationals

The Bay Shore Schools Board of Education recently recognized and congratulated girls varsity cross country standout Maggie McCormick for her outstanding achievements on the track and on the national stage. McCormick, who has committed to the University of Florida, was honored for her performance at the Nike Cross Country Nationals, one of the most prestigious high school running events in the country.
