William Paca Middle School was recently featured on "Spotlight on LI Schools," a program on Long Island News Radio 103.9 FM that showcases positive developments in local schools. The focus was on the school's SOAR (Students on the Academic Rise) initiative, which acknowledges students excelling in academics, attendance, and behavior. The program also aims to encourage students to achieve their full potential.

During the radio segment, William Paca Middle School's assistant principal Kevin Durant, SOAR advisor Kaylee Figalora-Torres, and several students shared insights about the program.

"Spotlight on Long Island Schools" is hosted by Robert Vecchio, executive director of the Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association and former trustee and president of the William Floyd Board of Education.

Listeners can access the program through JVC Broadcasting's platform under "Spotlight On Schools 2-1-25 - William Floyd."
