The Suffolk County Art Leaders Association (SCALA) announced the annual High School All County and Scholarship Show.

Sixteen high schools across Suffolk County are participating with 57 different works of art submitted by the students.

Babylon’s Old Town Hall located at 47 W. Main Street in Babylon will host the show with a kick-off reception at 1 PM on February 8, 2025. Works will be on exhibit until March 5, 2025.

“Our annual art show enables the visual art work of our most talented students to be on exhibit and adjudicated for scholarships,” said Dr. Diana Cook, SCALA president. “We are very proud of our students, the dedication they show to their craft, and of the support they receive from their teachers, families, and friends.”

The All County portion of the show allows teachers from participating high schools to submit works from three (3) students for competition.

The Senior Scholarship portion of the show is open to one twelfth grade student from each participating high school planning to attend a collegiate art program in the fall of 2025.

Students must submit three (3) pieces of artwork along with an essay describing their work to the theme of What Impact Would You Like Your Artwork to Have?

Categories include Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Photography, Mixed Media, Digital Media, Video/Animation, and Sculpture/3D.

The Suffolk County Art Leaders Association brings quality art educational experiences to art educators and art leaders across Suffolk County. More information can be found at SCALAArt.org.
