Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the sentencing of a 68-year-old Selden man to 32 to 57 years in prison for sexually abusing three of his children over a period spanning thirteen years. The jury found him guilty of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, among other charges.

District Attorney Tierney expressed his condemnation of the acts, stating, "It is unconscionable that a father would subject his own children to years of such heinous acts of sexual violence." He also commended the victims for their courage in reporting the abuse as adults.

The trial revealed that from 1997 to 2010, the defendant abused his children when they were between seven and 13 years old. Fearful of being separated from their family, they did not report the abuse until reaching adulthood.

On November 25, 2024, following a jury trial overseen by Acting Supreme Court Justice Karen M. Wilutis, the defendant was convicted on three counts of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree and one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.

Justice Wilutis sentenced him on January 7, 2025. In addition to his prison term, he must register as a sex offender. Ian Fitzgerald and Chase Brown represented him legally.
