Members of the Stony Brook University community have an opportunity to express what Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) means to them through a new video series. This initiative is based on a concept by Maria Medin-Doce, a graduate student in the College of Arts and Sciences' Department of Hispanic Languages and Literature. Medin-Doce is also currently an IDEA graduate working with CAS Communications.
The video series seeks to showcase the diverse perspectives within Stony Brook, promoting dialogue among students, faculty, and staff. Participants can share their thoughts in one word or a brief description. These contributions will be shared across social media and other digital platforms.
The What’s Your IDEA initiative is presented by CAS, the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives (DI3), and the School of Communication and Journalism. It was launched earlier this fall.
