William Floyd Middle School hosts first annual PBIS kickoff celebration

William Floyd Middle School (WFMS) recently organized its inaugural Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) kickoff event. The program aims to teach, encourage, and reward students who demonstrate respect, responsibility, and readiness to learn in various school settings.

During the event, students from each grade attended a pep rally where student-athletes were acknowledged. They also watched videos created by staff that explained PBIS building expectations. To conclude the day, students selected one of several activities: four-way volleyball, a bubble-filled running course, kickball, or an escape room adventure.

The faculty and staff at William Floyd Middle School worked hard to plan and organize the event. Students participated with enthusiasm throughout the day. Even the school mascot, Billy Floyd, made an appearance. The school is already looking forward to next year's PBIS kickoff.
