Prior to paving, crews completed concrete improvements, inspecting and installing new drains and repairing and replacing damaged concrete curbing, sidewalks and aprons within the paving area.
Roads resurfaced during these paving projects include Cherry Beth Lane, Dayton Avenue, Douglas Lane, Pine Needle Drive, Victoria Drive, Weeks Avenue, and Woodland Avenue. The total cost for this paving project was approximately $1.25 million.
Superintendent Losquadro said, “This project involved a great deal of drainage improvements, before we were even able to begin the resurfacing. It is also situated in a school zone; teachers, students, staff, parents, motorists and pedestrians can now enjoy a smoother, safer ride.”
Councilman Panico said, “The Town of Brookhaven continues to prioritize and invest in infrastructure for our residents.”
