William Floyd School District Superintendent of Schools Kevin M. Coster shared his sentiments on graduate Lee Zeldin'President Trump's Cabinet to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The 1998 WFHS grad served our community and country as a combat veteran. as a New York State Senator, as a United States Congressman, and soon to be Director of the EPA.

“We congratulate Lee Zeldin, former New York State senator, congressman and gubernatorial candidate, who, pending Senate confirmation, will serve as the next head of the Environmental Protection Agency as part of President-Elect Trump’s cabinet. Lee, a longtime resident of Shirley, a 1998 William Floyd graduate, a former lieutenant governor in the high school’s award-winning Youth & Government program, and father of two recent graduates, serves as a shining testament to our students and community. We hope that Lee’s story as a kid from Shirley, regardless of political affiliation, will resonate with our students to show them that with hard work and determination, anything is possible, even working in a top position in the White House.”
