Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney has announced the arrest of Eleni Kalodis, a 54-year-old resident of Fort Lee, New Jersey. Kalodis is charged with Grand Larceny in the Second Degree for allegedly stealing over $400,000 from a St. James-based HVAC company.

According to the district attorney's office, Kalodis was employed as an account supervisor at the company for six years. During her tenure, she is accused of misappropriating vendor credits and transferring these funds into her personal accounts. The alleged thefts were reportedly used to finance various extravagant expenses.

Kalodis's actions came under scrutiny leading to this charge. The case highlights issues of financial misconduct within businesses and emphasizes the need for internal controls to prevent such incidents.

"These allegations reflect a significant breach of trust," said District Attorney Tierney in his announcement regarding the arrest.

The investigation continues as authorities seek to determine if additional charges are warranted based on further findings related to Kalodis's activities during her employment.

Don't Expect Bregman to Pay Off

This week, one of the bigger names in the free agency cycle signed with the Chicago Cubs, and fantasy managers everywhere sighed. Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.

They feature zero five-star recruits and have instead relied on depth, discipline, and consistency while dominating all season long.
