Elementary schools connect with communities through virtual backpack events

William Floyd's Virtual Backpack serves as a central hub for events and opportunities offered by school and community organizations. The backpack is specifically designed for elementary schools, with links to each school's website providing access to the page.

For October 2024, the Virtual Backpack highlights include the Suffolk County Police Athletic League Soccer Clinic and meeting dates and information for SEPTO (Special Education PTO).

The September 2024 offerings included SEPTO meeting dates and information, resources from Academic Associates Reading & Learning Center, the Butterfly Effect Project, Sparklers Baton Twirling sessions, and a Girl Scouts Halloween Bash for kindergarteners and first graders.

This initiative aims to keep parents and students informed about various activities that can enhance their educational experience outside of regular classroom settings.
