Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro is organizing “Anthony’s Red Shoe Fund Run” on Sunday, October 13, to support its capital campaign for a new $30 million house at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.

Scheduled to open in 2026, the facility will offer a safe and comfortable environment for families of hospitalized children. The 60,000 square foot center will provide no-cost housing, respite, meals, and hospitality services near the hospital. Check-in and day-of-race registration begins at 9 am, with the race starting at 10 am at the Student Activities Center at Stony Brook University. The registration fee includes a T-shirt and access to an after-event patio party featuring music and food trucks. Prizes will be awarded in various age group categories and team categories.
