Burgueno Chooses to Stay Close to Home
This past week, Ward Melville senior Elliot Burgueno was honored at the All-American ceremony for high school and college All-Americans at the National Soccer Convention in Philadelphia and also made an important decision on where he will play next year.
Ward Melville Wins Smithtown Tournament
Last week, the Ward Melville wrestling team captured the Smithtown Invitational, further establishing an excellent start to the season. The Patriots delivered a strong overall performance and crowned multiple individual champions across several weight classes, showcasing both depth and high-end talent throughout the lineup.
Ward Melville Wins a Nail Biter to Become Champs
It was fitting that one of the best games played all season in Suffolk County football came in the final matchup for the championship. That is exactly what we got when Ward Melville defeated William Floyd last week to capture the Suffolk County Division I title. Ward Melville won a nail-biter, 31–28, over their rivals, and the victory now sends them to the Long Island Championship.

This past Saturday was a day for big plays when Ward Melville met up with Bay Shore, but unfortunately for Bay Shore all of those big plays were made by Ward Melville, in all three phases of the game.
