The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame in Stony Brook has announced a lineup of late-April events, offering music fans and the public a chance to experience local talent and independent film.

The events will take place at the Hall of Fame’s location at 97 Main Street and are free with general admission or for members, unless otherwise noted.

On April 19th at 3 p.m., guitarist and vocalist Robert Bruey will take the stage, known for his distinctive fingerstyle playing and soulful voice.

Organizers said Bruey’s performances are intimate and storytelling-driven, with songs that paint vivid imagery for audiences.

His recent release, “Carousel,” has received positive acclaim and highlights his unique approach to songwriting.

Later in the month, the Hall of Fame will host a screening of “Best Man” on April 24th at 7 p.m. as part of its Local Filmmakers Series.

The film follows a struggling actor attempting one final shot at success and will be followed by a question-and-answer session with filmmakers Anthony and Ryan Famulari.

Officials said the series aims to spotlight emerging filmmakers from the region and provide audiences with a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process.

Closing out the month’s events, guitarist Bob Westcott will perform on April 26th at 3 p.m., showcasing decades of experience in folk and acoustic music.

Westcott began his career performing in Greenwich Village and later explored music scenes in England, Canada and across the United States before settling on Long Island.

He has opened for a number of nationally recognized artists, including Merle Haggard, Richie Havens and Tom Paxton, and is known for his refined fingerstyle guitar work.

Officials said the April programming reflects the Hall of Fame’s ongoing mission to celebrate Long Island’s musical heritage while supporting contemporary artists and creators.
