A former executive has taken legal action against her previous employers, alleging a toxic work environment filled with harassment and deceit. On January 20, 2026, Jill Marchisotto filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York against Fundstrat Global Advisors, Fundstrat Capital, LLC, and two of its senior executives, John S. Bai and Adam Klein.
Marchisotto's lawsuit paints a disturbing picture of her time at Fundstrat, where she claims to have faced relentless sexual harassment from Managing Partner John S. Bai starting from early 2025 until the end of her employment. According to the complaint, Bai subjected Marchisotto to "a relentless barrage of unwelcome sexual comments and advances," which created an abusive work environment. The complaint details several instances where Bai allegedly made inappropriate remarks about her appearance and suggested romantic interest from other colleagues. When Marchisotto raised concerns about this behavior, she alleges that she was met with retaliation in the form of a negative performance review that was not reflective of her actual contributions to the company.
The legal filing further accuses Fundstrat of systemic failures in handling such complaints. It claims that the company lacked an internal Human Resources department or any effective written policies on sexual harassment prevention. Moreover, it failed to provide mandatory training as required by New York State and City laws. These oversights left Marchisotto without any formal avenue to report or escalate Bai’s misconduct.
In addition to harassment allegations, Marchisotto accuses Bai and Fundstrat of fraudulent inducement. She asserts that during recruitment discussions in 2024, Bai falsely promised her a seven-figure compensation package inclusive of bonuses—a promise he had no intention of fulfilling. Instead, she received a base salary significantly lower than what she had been earning previously and was denied the substantial bonus promised despite exceeding performance expectations.
Marchisotto is seeking declaratory and injunctive relief along with compensatory damages for emotional distress and financial losses incurred due to these alleged unlawful practices. She also demands punitive damages for what she describes as malicious conduct by the defendants.
Representing Marchisotto is Saul D. Zabell from Zabell & Collotta P.C., while no defense attorneys are named in the document yet. The case is being presided over by an unnamed judge under Case ID 2:26-cv-00339.
