Breana Sanderson, a former employee of a New York-based security company, has filed a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment and retaliation by her supervisor. The complaint was lodged in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York on January 15, 2026, against Precision Security Investigations LLC and Jordan Vassel. Sanderson claims that she faced discriminatory treatment due to her gender and was retaliated against after opposing such behavior.
According to the lawsuit, Breana Sanderson began working as a security guard for Precision Security Investigations LLC in May 2024 under the supervision of Jordan Vassel. She alleges that Vassel subjected her to inappropriate comments about her age and appearance, referring to her as "Twenty-Two" based on his guess of her age. Sanderson recounts instances where Vassel made sexually suggestive remarks and pressured her into personal interactions outside work, which she consistently refused. Despite these refusals, Vassel allegedly continued his advances and even showed explicit content at the workplace.
The situation reportedly worsened when Sanderson rejected Vassel's advances. She claims that he then began to impose stricter work conditions on her, denied her breaks, ignored work-related requests, and issued unwarranted write-ups for minor infractions. In July 2024, realizing she might be removed from the schedule due to these retaliatory actions, Sanderson reported Vassel's conduct to HR Director Mr. Andino. However, she contends that this led to further retaliation, culminating in her termination while on vacation in September 2024.
Sanderson's complaint asserts violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the New York State Human Rights Law (NYSHRL), and the New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL). She seeks damages for lost wages and benefits resulting from what she describes as a hostile work environment created by sexual harassment and subsequent retaliation. The lawsuit also demands compensatory damages for emotional distress caused by these experiences.
