The event is sponsored by Southampton Strategic Initiatives Leadership.

The excursion will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., offering participants an opportunity to learn about the local environment and marine life through hands-on activities led by SoMAS experts. Snacks and refreshments will be provided during the outing.

According to organizers, "Participants will get the chance to explore the local environment, discover sea creatures and experience hands-on learning with SoMAS experts. Snacks and refreshments will be included."

The trip is limited to 30 participants, with priority given to students. Any remaining spots will then be made available to faculty and staff members interested in joining.

Registration is required online by 9 a.m. on Thursday, October 9. All attendees are expected to arrive at the Marine Sciences Station 15 minutes prior to departure so that the boat can leave as scheduled.
