Daniel Fink, 23, of Sound Beach, was sentenced to eight years in prison last week, followed by five years of post-release supervision. He pled guilty to his crimes back in June: one major charge included two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

Or more specifically, possession of illegal weapons and narcotics in a home that housed a 7-year-old.

“We will not tolerate the endangerment of children through illegal drug and weapons activities,” said District Attorney Tierney. “This defendant’s decision to store illegal narcotics and firearms where a 7-year-old child was present is unconscionable. This case highlights the tragic reality of how drug crimes often put our most vulnerable citizens at risk.”

Court documents confirm the defendant’s admissions took place on January 15th, 2025. Upon a search of his Sound Beach residence, Suffolk County policy recovered four loaded and operable semiautomatic pistols.

Police also picked up MDMA (ecstasy or molly), ketamine and conazepam on Finkle’s person.

In addition to his Controlled Substance possession felony, Fink also pled guilty to eight counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Fink was also picked up with MDMA (aka ecstasy or molly), ketamine and clonazepam.

Don't Expect Bregman to Pay Off

This week, one of the bigger names in the free agency cycle signed with the Chicago Cubs, and fantasy managers everywhere sighed. Usually, anyone heading to Wrigley Field is viewed as a positive, but for Alex Bregman, more information has emerged suggesting this move could spell trouble for his fantasy outlook. Bregman is a right-handed pull hitter who previously played in two of the more favorable home parks for that profile in Houston and Boston. Both parks feature short left-field dimensions that reward pulled fly balls and help inflate power numbers.

Futures Bettors Will Be Smiling

The College Football Championship is set, and it pits two of the more unlikely teams against each other. Indiana may have the largest living alumni base in the country, with more than 800,000 graduates, but few expected the Hoosiers to reach this stage. They feature zero five-star recruits and have instead relied on depth, discipline, and consistency while dominating all season long.
