Smithtown Fire Department appoints Daniel Dongvort as new chief

On Thursday, April 3, the Smithtown Fire Department conducted a special meeting for its department and company elections. The department expressed gratitude to outgoing Chief of Department Timothy Duckham for his service and leadership.

Daniel Dongvort has been appointed as the new Chief of Department. Congratulations were extended to him and all newly elected department and company officers on their appointments.
