Susan Lee, MD, FACP, has been elected to the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians (ACP), a prominent policy-making body. Dr. Lee is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University and holds multiple roles at Stony Brook Medicine.
The ACP represents internal medicine physicians and related subspecialists focusing on adult care. Dr. Lee's leadership within the organization includes her designation as a Fellow of the ACP in 2011, acknowledging her contributions to internal medicine. She has served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors and was part of the Immunization Committee for 2021-22. Locally, she became Governor of the New York Long Island Chapter in 2021.
Dr. Lee's medical career began with her degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1991, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at New York Hospital at Cornell University in 1994. Since 1997, she has practiced at Stony Brook Medicine.
