Get ready for an unforgettable day where community, compassion, and creativity collide. The inaugural Pickles & Paws festival is set to debut on May 32 at Southaven County Park in Yaphank, promising to be New York’s largest and most unique animal adoption event.
Hosted by Wonderland Tails Rescue, the event will bring together 14 animal rescues and shelters from across the state, aiming to find loving homes for hundreds of adoptable pets. But this isn’t just your average adoption event—it’s a full-blown, pickle-themed celebration with a purpose.
Pickles & Paws 2025 blends a heartfelt mission with festival fun, offering attendees the chance to adopt, explore, and engage in wildly creative ways. Beyond the animal adoptions, the day will feature:
- Pickle-Themed Contests – From costume challenges to eating competitions, pickle fans will find plenty to crunch on.
- 5K-9 Fun Run – A vibrant, dog-friendly run through foam bubbles and color bursts.
- Puppy Yoga – Stretch and breathe alongside adoptable puppies.
- Doggie Fashion Show – Rescue dogs hit the runway in paw-sitively adorable outfits.
- Live Music & Entertainment – Performances, contests, and surprises led by an all-day MC.
- Family Fun Zone – Henna, face painting, axe throwing, fairy hair, foam parties, and more.
- Vendors & Food Trucks – Sample local eats, sip craft brews, and indulge in pickle-inspired bites.
Rescue groups, vendors, volunteers, and sponsors are encouraged to get in touch through the event’s website at: www.picklesandpaws.com
Pickles & Paws is about bringing people together—for animals, fun, and a greater cause, according to the organizers from Stay Salted, the creative team behind the event. “We’ve built something for everyone, from families to foodies to fitness lovers. It’s a festival with a heart.”
Whether you’re looking to bring home a new furry friend or just want to enjoy a foam-covered run and a pickle-eating contest, Pickles & Paws 2025 has something for you.
