The University Orchestra is scheduled to perform a concert on April 29 at the Staller Center for the Arts. The event will take place on the Main Stage at 7:30 pm under the direction of conductor Susan Deaver.
The orchestra's program includes Dukas's “La Peri” brass fanfare, Chadwick’s “Jubilee” from Symphonic Sketches, Lovreglio's “Fantasia da Concerto” based on themes from "La Traviata," and movements from Holst’s "The Planets," specifically Mars, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter.
Clarinetist Maximo Flores, a Long Island native and winner of the Undergraduate Concerto Competition, is set to be the featured soloist in the performance of the “Fantasia da Concerto.”
