The Soundsations | WFSD

The William Floyd High School Soundsations a cappella group, led by Michelle Seifert, performed at the inaugural Scholarship Gala organized by the Dr. Calabro Lodge #3011 Order of the Sons and Daughters of Italy.

The event was held at Sunset Harbor in East Patchogue and was described as “a celebration of life and learning.” Town of Brookhaven Supervisor Dan Panico and Suffolk County Legislator Jim Mazzarella were honored for their contributions to the community.

The Soundsations began the event with a performance during the cocktail hour, featuring songs such as “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” and “Sh-Boom (Life Could Be a Dream)." They also opened the ceremony with their rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

During the ceremony, it was announced that 18 scholarships would be awarded to seniors from William Floyd High School and two scholarships to students from Queen of the Apostles school in Center Moriches. This announcement followed an impressive performance by the Soundsations.

Gratitude was expressed to the Dr. Calabro Lodge #3011 Order of the Sons and Daughters of Italy for their generosity, along with congratulations to Supervisor Panico and Legislator Mazzarella for their recognition.
