President Trump issued an Executive Order to block sex change operations on children. In response, Attorney General Letitia James told New York hospitals to ignore the President. The South Shore Press Man on the Street asked residents what they thought about this.
“The people who push transgender surgeries on children should be arrested. You can’t tell me a nine-year-old wants to change their sex. They are being brainwashed by evil people with political motives. This is not okay. These children are being violated.”—Ellen DiDomenico, Deer Park
“I never thought l would see the day when the attorney general of the state of New York is fighting the president over sex change operations for children. The motivation of the people pushing this is sinister. I’m proud of President Trump for taking a stand. Letitia James should be ashamed of herself.”—Loretta Still, Coram
“The Attorney General’s decision to defy President Trump’s order and encourage hospitals to continue performing life-altering gender-changing surgeries on children is not just reckless, it’s dangerous. Children should be protected and cherished, not used as political pawns to appease radical activists. Kids deserve time to grow, learn, and develop naturally without being pushed down a path that leads to irreversible harm.”—Angelo Veltri, Save Long Island President, Shoreham
“Once again, New York State government shows disdain for the health and well-being of our children.”—Dave Zere, Brookhaven
“This is actually child abuse, and the fact that the attorney general thinks it's okay is appalling. Letitia James should be focused on making New York safer instead of this woke nonsense. President Trump is trying to make America great again, and this is what he gets from the Democrats? It's pathetic.”—Kelly Tobin, Yaphank
“The Wokeness of the Democrats has gone way too far, and it’s hard to believe that the attorney general goes along with it. She’s backed by people like George Soros, who don’t have this country’s best interests at heart and are rather diabolical in what they are doing. Seeing how they support sex change operations on kids is all you need to know about where they’re coming from.”—Maurice Skerritt, Stony Brook
