Due to expected weather conditions, the William Floyd School District will open two hours late on Thursday, February 6. The Floyd Academy will also follow a delayed schedule.
Students using bus transportation should arrive at their stops two hours later than usual. Those using personal transportation should also report to school two hours later. Upon arrival, high school and middle school students will go directly to their first period class with shortened periods to accommodate all classes. Meals will be provided as usual, and schools will dismiss at regular times. After-school activities are planned to proceed as scheduled; parents are advised to confirm specific programs with coaches or advisors.
All before-school activities and clubs are canceled for the day. Parents of UPK students should contact teachers or providers for scheduling details, as these programs operate independently.
The William Floyd High School Equivalency Program (GED) is canceled, along with the Occupational Education program at Milliken Technical Center and Bixhorn Technical Center. Students attending these programs should expect buses starting at 10:15 am for an 11:15 am arrival at the high school.
Floyd Academy Interim Placement will continue as normal.
Any changes, such as a transition from a delayed opening to a closure, will be communicated promptly to the community.
