The William Floyd High School Medical Club has donated $500 to the Child Life Program at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. This marks a continuation of their annual contributions, which have totaled over $4,600 in the past eight years.

Led by science educator Terri Randall, the club's donation aims to assist the hospital in providing comfort and positivity to hospitalized children. During a recent meeting, Ms. Randall and club members presented the donation to Michael Attard, a certified child life specialist at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.

Michael Attard shared insights with the students about the ongoing efforts within the Child Life Department. The program focuses on alleviating stress for pediatric patients and their families during hospital stays by offering therapeutic, educational, and recreational activities tailored to children's emotional and developmental needs.

The donation ceremony included club members Dulce Galeano (secretary), Rachel Chen (president), Juliana Ruiz (treasurer), Vanessa Peralta (vice president), and advisor Ms. Terri Randall alongside Michael Attard.
