Smithtown FD Explorers seek donations for Thanksgiving meal drive

Joseph Palazzo Third Assistant Chief | Smithtown Fire Department

The Smithtown FD Explorers, in collaboration with the Smithtown Food Pantry, are organizing a drive to prepare Thanksgiving dinner boxes for families in need. The community is encouraged to donate non-perishable items such as canned vegetables, instant potatoes, cranberry sauce, yams, fruit, juice, turkey gravy, and various baking mixes. Optional "extras" like candy and cookies can also be contributed.

The pantry will supply turkeys and cooking pans. Donations should be delivered by November 5th to Smithtown FD HQ at 100 Elm Ave., Smithtown, NY 11787. Marked bins are available in the main entrance lobby for drop-offs.
