Smithtown Fire Department elects new chief and assistant chiefs

On Thursday, April 8th, 2021, the Smithtown Fire Department conducted its annual elections for officers as required by state law. Patrick V. Diecidue was elected as the 46th Chief of Department. Andrew Kelly, Captain of Engine Co 5, was chosen as the new 3rd Assistant Chief. Timothy Duckham and Daniel Dongvort advanced to First and Second Assistant Chief positions respectively.

In addition to department officers, individual companies also elected their new leadership roles. The department extends congratulations to all elected officials and wishes them success in their upcoming year.
