Holiday Parade Sets CMO Main Street Aglow

| Robert Chartuk

Main Street was aglow with holiday lights as the Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches, made its way down Main Street on Saturday.

The winter evening was crisp and perfect for the annual spectacle, and the mood was festive. Santa appeared with a long train of marching bands, fire trucks, floats, boats, and organizations, including the scouts, sports teams, dance groups, local businesses, and the Coast Guard, with an appearance by Mr. Grinch. Viewing the procession from the Brookhaven Show Mobile in front of the Center Moriches firehouse were town Supervisor Ed Romaine and Legislator Jim Mazzarella, along with the chamber’s Miriam Gilles and fire department officials.
