Suffolk County Cops Collar Suspect in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

Five months ago, 63-year-old Richard Dirocco was killed by a hit-run driver just north of the Frank Court intersection.

Five months later, Suffolk County Police arrested the man they believe was behind the wheel of the vehicle that killed him.

Following an investigation by Major Case Unit detectives, 72-year-old Michael Sabeno, of 18 Avenue D, Holbrook was charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash Resulting in Death.

While police arrested the person they believe hit Dirocco and killed him, they are still making a public plea for information from anyone who knows what happened that day.
