Dress for Success Celebrates 25 Years of Service

Dress for Success Brookhaven will celebrate 25 years of serving others with a big gala on June 5th, 2024.

It will take place at Giorgio’s Baiting Hollow, 100 Fox Hill Drive in Baiting Hollow.

Attendees will see the unveiling of the new Dress for Success Mobile Career Center, which will deliver services directly to women throughout Long Island.

The proceeds from Dress for Success Brookhaven’s Gala will directly support programs for women in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The 2024 Distinguished Honorees include:

•Impact Award to Victoria Schneps Yunis; Schneps Media

•Humanitarian Award to Karla Waldron; Racine’s Salon

Dress for Success Brookhaven is seeking sponsorships from organizations/partners to be a part of their 25th Anniversary Gala.

Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and can return when she finds work to receive a week’s worth of clothing.

The Dress for Success Boutique is located at Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill in Farmingville. It is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All client visits are by appointment only.

The Bay Shore Schools Board of Education recently recognized and congratulated girls varsity cross country standout Maggie McCormick for her outstanding achievements on the track and on the national stage. McCormick, who has committed to the University of Florida, was honored for her performance at the Nike Cross Country Nationals, one of the most prestigious high school running events in the country.
