Senator Murray Partners With SCSO on Prescription Collection Program

New York State Senator Dean Murray and the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office recently partnered to collect prescriptions for safe disposal, rather than having folks flush them.

The recent prescription disposal effort at the Longwood Public Library resulted in the collection of four boxes of unused and expired medications.

"This is a vital program to keep medications out of the waste stream to protect our citizens," said Senator Murray.
