The Eastport-South Manor Central School District announced that three of their district’s top student-musicians were selected to participate in the New York State School Music Association All-State Winter Conference Honors Ensembles, to be held in Rochester, New York from December 5th to the 8th.

Aaron Isaacson (French horn) was selected for the Symphonic Band on French Horn and Emma Gallagher (alto I) was selected for the Mixed Chorus.

Double bass player John Schroeder had the rare distinction of being selected to perform in two NYSSMA All-State ensembles. John elected to participate with the Instrumental Jazz Ensemble over the String Orchestra.

Each year, more than 6,800 New York State students audition for spots in the All-State Honors Ensembles, the Eastport-South Manor music department is incredibly proud of these musicians and their accomplishments and extends best wishes for success at the NYSSMA All-State Winter Conference.
