Town officials host early Halloween celebration for Middle Country Youth

Jonathan Kornreich Council District 1 | Town of Brookhaven

On October 19, over 550 members of the Middle Country Youth Civic Association gathered at Brookhaven Town’s Centereach Pool for an early Halloween celebration. The event was organized by Town Councilman Neil A. Manzella and Town Clerk Kevin J. LaValle, who were joined by NYS Senator Dean Murray and Suffolk County Legislator Nick Caracappa.

Councilman Manzella creatively transformed his car trunk into a "Fix-it-Felix" Arcade, while Town Clerk LaValle portrayed "Daniel LaRusso" from the movie "Karate Kid," with a themed trunk filled with treats for the young attendees. The event featured numerous decorated car trunks where town officials and staff distributed candy and toys to children dressed in costumes.

Councilman Manzella and the Civic Association expressed their satisfaction with the turnout, stating that the event “never disappoints!”
