Susan Lee joins Board of Regents at American College of Physicians


Susan Lee, MD, a professor of clinical medicine at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, has been elected to the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians (ACP). Dr. Lee is also the medical director of Stony Brook Primary Care and deputy chief of the Medical Information Office at Stony Brook Medicine.

The ACP's Board of Regents serves as its main policy-making body. The organization includes internal medicine physicians, subspecialists, and medical students focused on adult healthcare.

Dr. Lee became a Fellow of the ACP in 2011, an honorary title recognizing her contributions to internal medicine. She has served on various committees within the ACP, including as a member of the executive committee of the board of governors and on the immunization committee for 2021-22. Additionally, she was elected governor of the New York Long Island Chapter in 2021 and has supported immunization efforts through "I Raise the Rates New York."

Dr. Lee has been part of Stony Brook Medicine since 1997. She obtained her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1991 and completed her residency at New York Hospital at Cornell University in 1994.
